Clover New York came into being after it's two co-founders returned from a road trip around Rajasthan in 2008. Inspired by the beauty of the culture and the landscape and the rich heritage of various textile techniques, they came home and started the company with an eye to creating beautiful, wearable clothing for children and babies in an environmentally conscious fashion.
Clover's clothing is influenced by just about everything they see on
now regular trips to India, modern western design and New York City,
where the designers are based. Their collections are filled with the
colors of Jaipur India, with its sprawling pink palace, the Amber fort
and signature blue ceramics. The shapes are light and easy for
children to put on themselves and are carefully finished with
embroidery details, re-interpreted traditional prints, and trims
unearthed in forgotten corners of village bazaars.
Clover New York uses only organic cottons, has a direct relationship
with the people who make their clothes and works with charitable organizations like the Citta.org to support positive work environments and economic
growth for their manufacturing partners.
